David Brecher

David Brecher is a co-Founder and Principal of FM Capital (FMCapital.com) an acquisition and development platform. FM Capital has acquired and developed over $1 Billion of commercial real estate since its inception eight years ago. Additionally, David is the founder and the Chief Executive Officer of FM Home Loans, one of the largest privately-owned mortgage bankers in New York. He is in charge of the decision making for credit, underwriting, operations, and secondary marketing policies and procedures. Since its founding, FM has originated well over $10 billion in residential loans and has over 200 employees.
David was instrumental in steering his firm through the great rescission of 2008 when the overwhelming majority of lenders in the space went bankrupt. David attributes this to a strong ability to asses risk and understanding market instabilities. David began his career in real estate lending in 1989 and has built a 30-year reputation of trust with his clients, lenders, and investors.
